Steve plays trumpet for Corinne Bailey Rae and has performed with her at the V-Festival, Glastonbury and Live Earth 2007 at Wembley Stadium. Equally active as a writer, composing music for West End/Broadway award-winning shows (The Play What I Wrote; Heroes; Calendar Girls) working alongside such stars as John Hurt, Liam Neeson, Lynda Bellingham, Minnie Driver, Kenneth Branagh, Sting and Roger Moore, along with many bands including his own Steve Parry and the Big Band From Hell. He also composed the ‘Beat the Busby’ theme that was part of Chris Evans’ Drive time show on BBC Radio 2.

"I've worked for Toni James now since about 2004/5 years, both playing trumpet and writing the horn section arrangements. It's a great band to write for because you need to leave space in the music in order to do the dance moves... and what dance moves!"
